Meet the Acupuncturist
Consuelo Kern, LAC, MSOM
Consuelo Kern earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Mid-West College of Oriental Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies at George Mason University. She also studied in Guangzhou, China, where she completed one of her four clinical internships before beginning her practice.
In addition, she holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture certification through the NCBAHM.
Inspired by her own healing experience with acupuncture when other treatments had been ineffective, Consuelo brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. She begins with attentive listening and a thorough intake process, tailoring each treatment to the individual. Guided by a “less is more” philosophy, she believes in understanding each patient’s unique constitution and creating personalized treatment plans accordingly. She also incorporates modern technology to measure, analyze, and document the energetic status of the body’s acupuncture meridians.
She has a special interest in pediatrics and women’s health and brings more than 22 years of clinical experience to her practice.
Meet the Sonographer
Susan Pritts, RDMS, RCS
Susan is a registered sonographer in multiple imaging specialty areas; credentialed through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and Cardiovascular Credentialing International, (CCI). She is also licensed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and certified for first trimester nuchal translucency assessment through the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review organization (NTQR).
She is known for her talents in teaching clinical skills and uses a practical "hands on" approach in her communications. Her skills can often obtain diagnostic images even on technically difficult cases and is respected for her knowledge of pathology as it relates to ultrasound.
