We provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic care have chiropractors been able to provide the level of help and expertise that is available today. Many of the newest chiropractic techniques are actually safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a chiropractor who cares about utilizing the most advanced chiropractic techniques, Dr. Jennifer Sims has years of training, expertise and experience in helping patients get pain relief for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other related conditions originating from the spine. Chiropractic care under a trained professional can even be used to prevent injuries and help you achieve total health or wellness.
At Blue Sky Health & Wellness, we offer massage therapy. Massage therapy is manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscles, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person's health and well being. Our therapist is trained in the following massage techniques: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Stretching.
Many of our patients come to see our chiropractor to address a specific pain symptom such as back pain, neck pain or headaches. Often times there are nutritional deficiencies that can aggravate musculoskeletal pain. It is important to support the patients diet and lifestyle while working on a wellness program. We create an bio-individual program for each patient. We appreciate that everyone is unique and a one size fits all approach does not bring sustainable health. Coaching can be done in conjunction with chiropractic care or as a stand alone program. We also offer group coaching.
Nutritional and Muscle Response Testing
What does nutrition have to do with chiropractic care? The goal of chiropractic care is to help patients achieve total health and balance with their body. As part of that goal we provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices. Nutritional counseling can assist a patient on their return to optimal health. Our office uses the following laboratories to help determine each patient's nutritional needs: Labcorp, Principal Lab, Doctor's Data, Genova Diagnostics, Diagnos-Techs, ELISA/ACT and Pharmasan Labs. In addition to traditional laboratory testing, Muscle Response Testing (MRT) is imperative to finding out more about your health. MRT can be used to help assess nutritional imbalances, food intolerances, allergies, and inflammatory diseases that traditional lab work can miss. At Blue Sky Health and Wellness, we use both Nutritional and Functional Muscle Response Testing to provide each patient with a structured nutritional program designed to fit their own individual needs.
We can appreciate with many of your busy schedules it can be challenging to get to the office for a nutritional coaching appointment. Skype consultations can be scheduled just like any other office visit. Payment will be made at the time the appointment is being scheduled. Payments must be made prior to the scheduled appointment time. All handouts, forms or necessary lab work will be sent to you prior to the appointment. Please contact the office directly for more information.
Low Level Laser Therapy - (LLLT)
LLLT or cold laser is a painless, sterile, non-invasive, drug free modality that is used for a variety of conditions such as acute, and chronic pain. Ask Dr. Jen about the benefits of low level lasers therapy and how it can enhance your treatment plan.
An ion cleanse draws waste from the body through a unit (called an array) placed in water with a positive and negative electric current. Due to the average person’s poor diet and high stress, we tend to accumulate and store excessive quantities of waste products. During a 30 minute session, the ions enter your body and begin to neutralize these tissues and acid wastes.
Ultrasound scans, also commonly referred to as sonograms or diagnostic sonography, use high frequency sound waves to create an image of the area being evaluated, such as the liver, heart, muscles, and blood vessels. Ultrasound scans are complimentary to thermography, MRI, mammograms, and x-rays.
